Bio: Pastor Pieter Swart

And as you go, preach, saying, ‘The kingdom of heaven is at hand.’ Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give.

(Matt 10: 7- 8)

Pieter was born and raised in South Africa where he came to know the Lord Jesus Christ at the age of 23. Several months after his born again experience, Pieter had a visitation from the Lord and were caught up in the glory of God. Called to the ministry through this visitation he went to Bible School at the age of 26. In 1986 Pieter married Linda Maritz and they have two daughters Maryke and Salome.

In 1987 they planted the first church. From 1988 to 2001 they were involved in church planting and pastored several churches in South Africa.  In 2002 the Lord called Pieter to station himself in Canada from where he is called to reach out to the nations with the good news of the Kingdom. Today they are living in Gander, in the heart of Newfoundland. Newfoundland is one of the provinces of Canada and is an island on the east cost of Canada.

As Pastor of Gander Victory Church, Pieter has the freedom to travel and minister the word with signs and wonders following. His wife Linda has a wonderful teaching ability and helps Pieter by preaching in their local church.

Over the past 12 years, Pieter traveled frequently to Brazil, South Africa, Mozambique and Portugal to minister the word and heal the sick. Over this period they have seen many healings, miracles and deliverances take place in the lives of people.

Pieter believes that signs, wonders and miracles happen in an atmosphere of grace. It cannot happen in an atmosphere of performance, trying to get God to do a miracle. You have to fully rely on the grace of Jesus Christ by faith.

Paul says: “For I will not dare to speak of any of those things which Christ has not accomplished through me, in word and deed, to make the Gentiles obedient— in mighty signs and wonders, by the power of the Spirit of God, so that from Jerusalem and round about to Illyricum I have fully preached the gospel of Christ” (Rom 15: 18 – 19)

If the Gospel (Good News) is not confirmed with signs and wonders it is not fully preached. Through the teaching ministry of Pieter and Linda, people come to the understanding of how to receive from God. Pieter also has a heart for Pastors, to see them breaking through in their communities, and the only way is by preaching the full Gospel confirmed by God with signs, wonders and miracles.
