How do I listen to your programs? We deliver our Talk Radio programs 4 different ways: Live Stream, On-Demand Archives, Downloadable Archives, and Podcasting.
What do you mean by Live Stream, On-Demand Streaming Archives, Downloadable Archives and Podcasting?
For details visit our Listener Support and More Listener Support sections; but briefly:
a. Live Stream: Our “live stream” runs 8 hours a day from 7am-5pm pacific; 10am-8pm eastern. It is a mixture of live new programming; special replays; and podcasts from our Community. Clicking on our “Listen Live” buttons pulls up our Live-Stream player.
b. On-Demand Streaming Archives: After a show is broadcast live, we make it available for you to listen-to “on demand”, whenever you are ready. You find the archive, click on it and it plays for you.
c. Downloadable Archives: These same shows can be downloaded to your computer for you to hear or make into a CD or put onto your mp3 player
d. Podcasting: A special program on your computer called an “aggregator” or “podcatcher” allows you to set-it-up to automatically to download your favorite shows to your computer.
How do I find and access your Live Stream, Archives and Podcasting?
a. Live Stream: Visit our Talk Radio Page or any of our four Radio Station channels: Green-Talk-Network, Healthy Life Radio, Business Buzz Radio, or Joyful Radio. Check the weekly live-stream schedule to see what’s playing. Then, click on the “Listen Now” microphone button in the upper-right corner of the page.
b. On Demand Archive Streaming and Downloadable Archives: Each host has a Fresh Talk Network mini-site. Each host’s Archive shows are posted on their mini-site shortly after their show is broadcast live. To find a mini-site:
• Perform a search using the host’s name; or the program’s name (see search box at the top-right of all pages);
• Find the host’s listing on the appropriate Radio Station Channel (listed above) and on the menu-tab under Talk Radio
• Click the host’s listing link in “Our Radio Shows” (most pages, bottom of right-sidebar)
To hear an archive On-Demand: Each archive has its own player. Just click!
To download an archive: RIGHT-CLICK on the word “download” and select where on your computer you want it to be downloaded.
What do I need on my computer (PC and MAC) to listen to your shows? Go to the Listener Support and More Listener Support sections on our site.
How Can I Call-in to a Live Talk Show? Can I use VOIP? Most hosts allow call-ins for questions and comments that are germane to the subject they’re discussing. Check the Live Stream Schedule on the Talk Radio page of Fresh Talk Network or any of our four Radio Station channels for call-in phone numbers. At this point VOIP listener call-ins are not yet possible.
How do I subscribe to the RSS newsfeed? Just click on the “News Feed” button at the top-right of any of our pages. Then, click on the pull-down menu and find your particular podcatcher. That’s it!
Can I become a show-host on Fresh Talk Network? It’s certainly possible. Please click on the “contact us” button, choose the subject “become a show host” and tell us a little about yourself. We’ll arrange to speak with you and explore it with you!
So why should I Join “Talk Community”? Talk Community membership is free. You can start a blog; upload podcasts, video, all sorts of things. You can also manage your Personal Profile, pictures, comment on shows and interact with other members of the Talk Community.
Can I advertise on Fresh Talk Network? Sure. You can sponsor a particular show, or an entire Radio-Station Channel or the entire Fresh Talk Network for a minimum commitment of one month. You can even sponsor a particular series or event. Ads can be audio-ads only placed within a show or graphic ad’s on our website pages. Please send us an email at info@freshtalknetwork.com. We’ll send you a media kit and assorted “goodies”.
What do I do if someone is inappropriate in Talk Community or Radio Chat? Please let us know ASAP with as much information as you can give us. Just go to contact us in the information menu tab at the top of any page and let us know. Be sure you leave an email address or some way of contacting you so we can “follow through”.
How do I find my way around Talk Community? Right now, we’re just “feeling our way” through the Talk Community and its many features. We’ll post more as we discover more!
How often should I listen to Fresh Talk Network? Be sure to lead a balanced life; paying attention to those things that are really important in life. Here’s the good part: since we bring our programming to you so many ways, you can listen live, on demand, download and make CD’s, download to your mp3 player and find time to listen a lot. See how easy that was?
